LA-based director Josh Franer is a forward-thinking visionary and vanguard of modern filmmaking. Winner of Best Cinematography and Best Short Doc at the LA International Film Festival thanks to his short piece on William Fitzsimmons, Josh is recognized not only for his profound ability to unearth beauty in the banal, but for his perceptive directing methods which provoke a kaleidoscope of action and emotion through one single lens.
In genre, Josh's films have ranged from transfixing, stunning arthouse to effective, cinematic promotional. He has been fortunate to work with a variety of inspiring nonprofit organizations including Bethany Christian Services, Glimmer of Hope and Why Hunger, and has been adventurous enough to shoot breathtaking footage on five continents.
Josh's works have been featured in Paste Magazine, Rolling Stone, Hard Rock Cafe, AOL and MTV, and due to his drive, efficiency and consistency as a director, his list of former clientele includes big names such as Disney, ASUS, Microsoft, and TED.
Though Josh specializes in commercials, music videos, EPKs, branded content, author profiles, documentaries, book shorts, still photography, and promotional films for organizations, he is eager to constantly expand his creative palate.
