I bought newer motors to try out on the slider and one of them is a very slow 5 RPM motor. At the slowest movable setting, I can get the slider to move about 4 feet in about 5 minutes. In this video, I had to speed up the motor so that you can see the slider moving.
This setup is great for doing time lapse photography though it is not as flexible as programmable stepper motor belt driven versions. One things for sure, this motorized slider is relatively easy to set up and disassemble. I've installed table tripods for very low shots.
