In 2010 we re-mounted our Obie-award winning production JET LAG, which was created with celebrated architects Diller+Scofidio. A diptych of two true stories about modern travel and displacement, the first half tracks a British sailor as he attempts to make a round-the-world voyage and ends up faking his coordinates. The second follows a boy and his grandmother as they take 147 consecutive round-trips between the US and Europe, the grandmother eventually dying of jet lag in mid-air.
In this clip from the second half of the production, the grandmother (Moe Angelos) and grandson (Jess Barbagallo) navigate the airport during another connection while announcements are being made (Kristen Sieh). The effects of the extended suspended time are beginning to be felt by the older woman. This clip highlights the updated 3D animations that were created by dbox for this remount.
