Wayne Mills Company, located in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, was founded in 1910 and has operated as a family- owned textile business for five generations. Today, Wayne Mills’ president Martin Heilman, whose father began as a janitor at Wayne Mills and worked his way up to president, oversees more than 60 employees. The company specializes in the production of a wide variety of woven narrow fabrics, including reflective tapes for safety gear, trim for postal works and military uniforms, carpet borders, piping and lining for the automotive industry, gauzes and wraps for the medical industry, and custom ribbon.
