Peter Blundy's life is not like many others as he has lived a happy and inspirational life with Locked-In-Syndrome after suffering at the hands of an accident when a balustrade fell as a serving officer in the Australian Navy. He sustained a severe head-injury from the two story fall which impacted his life forward. Supported by the Defense Department for his rehabilitation for over 20 years, Peter was able to gain the support of specialist medical, allied health and care support o help him with his arduous life journey to be now what it is today. Chosen to be a hero for Grace for her school presentation, Peter found a moment in time to reflect back on the benefits of his inspirational story after years of grueling dedication and effort to a life that many would and could not have endured. This he attributes to be what has built his character and courage now and he hopes that this will be the force of inspiration for others that they too can do the same after a brain injury or any life challenges.
