On this most windiest of days we launched payload KI6YMZ-2 from Windsor, CO. The payload traveled 100 miles during its three-hour journey and was recovered near Akron, CO - nearly a mile from the nearest road - in a field of cows. It recorded speeds in excess of 60 miles per hour!
The camera was on a 1-axis tilt system that let it look horizontally out the payload box and vertically up towards the sky/sun, changing its view every minute and a half or so.
Unfortunately, the battery cut out prematurely and we were not able to record the balloon bursting as we had hoped. There are plans to launch again in a month or so, so stay tuned!
