Somewhere off the coast of Maine there is an island that has been owned by the same family for over 300 years. In order to make this film we had to agree not to disclose their name or the name of their island. They are private people who make their living by fishing for lobster. Invisible lines mark the territorial waters surrounding this island. When outsiders come inside these lines to fish there can be lobster wars. The territorial waters need to be defended. For generations, the women of this island have been strong, hard working and left on their own while the men are at sea.
