The FossilFree £5 Ticket Scheme is organised by Culture Unstained, part of the Art Not Oil coalition.
This crowdfunder is raising money to provide an ethical alternative to young people who would like to access the best of theatre at the RSC, but who can't afford the ticket prices (which range up to £75) and who feel morally challenged by accepting help from BP, who currently sponsor a cheaper ticket scheme in return for brand recognition, free advertising and greenwashing.
Ten percent of moneis raised will also go to organisations helping frontline communities adversely affected by BP's actions around the world.
