Please take a moment to read and honor this man's life:
This is a feature piece shot for a TV class in 2010 about, ORU student, Austin Anderson’s life journey through hardships, the Marines, and dreams of coming to Oral Roberts University.
Austin was a dear friend of mine at ORU, and was involved in a plane crash on May 11, 2012 with four other passengers. He and passenger, Hannah Luce, were the only ones who made it out to safety; after already receiving burns on 90% of his body, Austin went to be with the Lord early in the morning on March 12, 2012 . Hannah Luce is expected to have a full recovery after receiving treatment for her burns.
The other men on the plane who also passed away were: Stephen Luth, Luke Sheets, and Garret Coble. Stephen and Luke were friends of mine as well. Many who knew Austin and these men could only profess about their amazing tenacity and passion for the future. Their lives were powerful and influential -- so much so, that I hope that their stories are shared as well in the future.
However, it has been my humble honor to share Austin's story with the world. A video doesn't say it all, but it reveals enough to understand. I knew it then, and surely the world can know it now -- that Austin's life and story is truly inspiring.
One of Austin's favorite quotes: "Every man dies, but not every man truly lives." Please continue to keep his family and the families of those involved in your prayers.
