The Wetland BMP Knowledge Exchange and Mark Johnston from the Saskatchewan Research Council present: Measuring Carbon in Wetlands: A Rapid Assessment Protocol

Mark will describe a project funded by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative that involves collaboration among the Saskatchewan Research Council, Ducks Unlimited Canada, Louisiana-Pacific Ltd. and Spruce Products Ltd. We are jointly developing a sampling and analysis protocol for estimating carbon stocks in wetlands. The objective is to develop an approach that provides credible estimates while at the same time is affordable, practical and that can be implemented by forest managers.
