The main aim of the RECARE project is to develop effective solutions to soil threats across Europe.
This video is about the soil threat of Soil Sealing in Poland. Soil sealing occurs when soil is covered by buildings and layers of artificial materials, such as concrete, It causes an irreversible loss of soil and its functions. The video prevents a solution developed in RECARE of using soil sealing maps in spatial planning. These maps will enable planners to consider soil quality and its environmental functions when making planning decisions.
