In a society where everyone tends to judge books by their covers, covers are carefully designed. Well polished veneers are presented, and problems lurk beneath the surface.
“Box” examines communication, anxieties about failure, the expectations of others, and the facades people create to exaggerate, protect or hide their real selves. Determined to isolate himself from what he considers misplaced anticipations, and overwhelmed by anxiety and societal pressure, Jack (C. Anthony Martignetti) decides to enclose himself in a box at a party where his friend Pandora (Amanda Palmer) has promised him an introduction to the eager and enthusiastic Cara (Lily Narbonne).
