Throughout 2016, CIRIA (the construction industry research and information association), CIEEM (the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management) and IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) collaborated to produce Good Practice Principles for the UK industry on Biodiversity Net Gain (http://www.ciria.org/netgain).
Their next phase is to produce pragmatic guidance on how to implement these Principles. A Project Team including Balfour Beatty, WSP, Footprint Ecology, Forest Trends and Natural England has been appointed to write the guidance, guided by an industry steering group drawn from the private and public sectors.
The Project Team are undertaking a series of consultations. This webinar is to gather international feedback on key issues and opportunities to be addressed through the development of Guidance to aid practical implementation of the Good Practice Principles.
