In June 2017, I recorded the distilled stories of Turkish men and women who fled their homeland under Erdogan's authoritarian rule. These are some of the lucky few who were able to get out and escape possible imprisonment merely for their affiliation with a peaceful movement falsely blamed for the July 2016 coup attempt.
