A 67 minute panel discussion that took place Southern Illinois University at the close of an art installation entitled Dreaming Diversity that took place during Women's History Month in the Morris Library Rotunda Gallery. Nap-Ins were took place throughout the month for the public and students facilitated by students and faculty from the Art Education and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program. The practice has emerged from the work of the Gestare Art Collective and developed since 2011 with Nap-Ins taking place internationally. The Dream Scroll in this installation is the 5th Dream Scroll in circulation and is housed in the Women, Gender, and, Sexuality Studies program at SIU. It has had dreams added to it by students and faculty since fall of 2013. This video is an educational video in response to the two fabricated TV news stories by F_X News that the installation attracted. The Dreams Scrolls and Nap-In practice has been theorized and written about as "slow activism." The conservative news attack on this socially engaged art project validates the power of this form creative intervention that crosses the domains of science, art, contemplation and visioning, and feminist praxis.
