4.3.2011 - Galveston, IN. -- Howard County Homebrew Club member Cary Kirkmeyer decided he wanted to brew a German stein bier using traditional methods, which in this case included about 70 pounds of farm field rocks. The rocks are heated until hot then used to help boil the beer wort. It's not a method for everyone, but Cary wanted to venture out on the edge of what's considered normal. And it doesn't taste like a rock.
