Current and Jacks Fork Rivers
Video by Thomas Malkowicz
Music by John Higgins
In 1964, 134 miles of the Current and Jacks Fork Rivers became the first National Park area to protect a wild river system.
The Current River and its major tributary, Jacks Fork River, provide critical habitat for many species of plants and animals found few other places on earth.
The Current River is owned by all of us. Together, we can ask the National Park Service to make this river one of America's best National Parks.
