Pastor Randy Skeete started the evangelistic campaign "A New Day" at the University SDA Church, Los Angeles on 4/2/11. This crusade will continue till 4/23/11. Meetings are held every evening at 7 PM. In addition he will speak at the Sabbath worship services on 4/9/11, 4/16/11 and 4/23/11 at 11AM. This sermon, number 13 in the series, was presented on 4/12/11 at 7 PM.
“But in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Mat 15:9). When Jesus said this, He really meant that these people are not worshiping Him, or their worship is not acceptable to God. When worship is not acceptable to God, it is acceptable to Satan. So these people worship Satan, even though they may think that they are worshipping God. Aaron called the golden calf Lord (Exo 32:5), serving another god in the name of the true God. That calf representing God, took the place of God. The foundation of worship must be obedience. We must worship God by obeying what He says, not by doing what seems good, popular or contemporary. No child of God leads someone into sin. When Eve walked away from the tree to see Adam she was an agent of Satan. Satan did not have to talk to Adam; Eve did the job for him. If we have to sin, we should sin alone, we should not be an agent of Satan and lead others to sin. Pastor Skeete eloquently and lovingly describes the little horn of Dan 7:24,25; the leopard like beast of Rev: 13; and the man of sin, son of perdition of 2Thes 2:3 in this sermon.
