The video features references to the Gothic world and German expressionist art with clear contrasts between lights and shadows, WHAT IS commonly considered “bad” and “good”, “strange” and “normal”. What is perceived as monstrous from the outside world does not have a negative value. The “monsters” in the narration are placed in their natural state of survival.
The atmosphere and the world that it wanted to recreate is surreal, distorted, hallucinatory, marked by delusional atmospheres, and, like Burton’s footage, short film is shot in a separate world outside of which there is no nothing.
The costumes used during the shooting are some of the prototypes of the fw 18 -19 collection.
The make-up is characterized by the contrast between heavy eyes and pale, almost ethereal faces, which, like Burton’s characters, through nonverbal communication, effectively transmit what the character wants to express.
The scenery of the video, shares with the director’s lms the use of the light and shadow’s game, accompanied by the use of the foreground with the aim of creating demonic effects.
The concept that gave birth to the script refers to what is happening in the embryo of the ovoviviparous and the practice of the eggphage of some of these species. In these cases, the first embryo to catch up with the rest within the egg. For example, bull shark puppies have brought this mechanism to an even more advanced evolution: the dominant embryo fights other developing embryos in a process known as intrauterine cannibalism.
