Next Council approved the minutes of the June 21st Regular Council Meeting and the June 7th Special Council Meeting (public hearing). Council received the Management Report (unfinished business). Council adopted bylaws rezoning 290 Anderton Road and authorized conditional issue of a Development Permit for the property. Council similarly adopted bylaws authorizing rezoning of 1182 Lazo Road and authorized conditional issue of a Development Permit and Development Variance permit for the property. Council then received minutes from the Regional District Board meeting of June 27th. Next Council give First, Second and Third Reading to a bylaw amending the 2017 - 2021 Financial Plan. Council approved a $40,000 increase to the budget for the change room renovations at the community centre. Council appointed Clive Freundlich as Financial Officer and gave him signing authority for the Town. Council authorized expenditure of up to $2,000 for parade souvenirs and supplies for the Nautical Days parade. Council gave First and Second reading of a rezoning bylaw for 337 Church Street and authorized a public hearing on August 2nd in Council Chambers. Council authorized staff submission of an infrastructure Planning Grant application to the Province for design of a roundabout at Comox Avenue and Glacier View Drive. Council received the 2016 Annual Report and authorized publication. Council received (+## min) correspondence from Gord Baudais (use of golf carts on Town roads), CV Pickleball Association (requesting pickleball lines on tennis courts), and from the CV Naturalists Society (requesting use of the Town's logo in a brochure).
