Mark Twitchell, an amateur filmmaker from St. Albert, was found guilty by a jury at Court of Queen's Bench in Edmonton on April 12. He will serve 25 years in prison without parole for the murder of Johnny Altinger. Altinger's parents, the Edmonton Police officers and officials with the Crown said they were relieved that the jury of 12 people found Twitchell guilty, after weighing sometimes gruesome and detailed evidence detailing what happened inside Twitchell's rented garage on Oct. 10, 2008 when he attacked and killed Altinger, a man he lured to the garage via the Plentyoffish.com website.
