This is based on the recent development of recordscreen.py by Nathan Vegdahl ( cessen.com ). Inspired from David Revoy's post ( davidrevoy.com/index.php?article65/recordscreen-py-video-and-audio-capture-for-linux-with-ffmpeg#form ).
For me it is a perfect utility and very light-weight for screen casting. I use the script along with KeyMon for getting mouse and key events on screen. Now I am dangerous with blender tutorial making power! Feedback on the quality, narration, KeyMon placement, and anything else you might think makes a tutorial have good quality is welcome.
Thanks for playing! Did I mention all this is open source?
