Description: Swift (POSSIBLE) reached out to us for custom composition for the Starbucks Refreshers campaign. The brief called for a 15 second track for web pre-roll use that balanced between a “chilled out” and “fun” vibe. Taking cues from the provided music example tracks (Tom Tom Club, Washed Out, and Helio Sequence) we set to work and delivered 4 roughs for them to choose from. After a choice was made by Starbucks, we batted back and forth with Swift as the animation developed, working on six draft versions before arriving at the final. Drastic musical changes were made with each revision, including tempo, instrumentation and foley variations, until we were all satisfied with the close interaction of visual and audio. We provided foley for the opening shot can pour and sound FX cues for each text overlay and the final logo. Detailed post-production on the voice over included de-essing and consonant shaping edits. Precise mixing and final mastering to target web loudness ensures maximum impact.
