Like a siren, the spirit of a broken hearted daughter calls out to the spirit of her father at sea, hoping that this time he'll remember what's most important. He answers her siren call and rises up from his watery grave to reunite with her determined, in his mind, to get it right this time. However the beautiful reunion is ruined, yet again, by the sailor's thirst brought on by the salty sea washing away his memory and incurring the mournful wrath of his daughter. When he realizes his failure she leads him on a chase to remind him of what's most important. The chase shakes loose his vague memory, but it's overwhelmed by her scorn and disappointment.
Abandoned by her spirit, he returns to his watery grave having failed her yet again. Locked in melancholy and seduced by the comfort of the sea, he never looks back to see her waiting on the shore. Once back in the sea, drowning in his sorrow, the sea collects his memory and he calls out to his daughter, to sing her siren song, promising he will not fail her. Vowing to hold onto the memory, vowing to deny the thirst, and vowing to break the cycle of horror he's doomed them to... if she'll just give him one more chance.
