This address, recorded in May 2010, is one of many that Professor Marjorie Venit delivered to graduating students and their families and friends over the years. This video recording is the only one made of one of her addresses. The powerpoint slides to which the video fades are from the 2013 iteration of her talk, a talk she constantly revised, so there are no slides of Iraq, which she references.
Marjorie, who was a gifted teacher, reveled in the creative challenges and possibilities offered by digital tools in the teaching of art history and archaeology. Her powerpoints always were wonderful visual experiences, as you will see. Equally, her delivery is witty and warm. Please enjoy this lasting tribute to her, and go find your own private Ithaka.
