The Honors Program at Hood is a four-year curriculum of adventurous, intellectual pursuit for exceptional undergraduate students. Classes are small, highly interactive and taught by some of Hood's most dynamic professors. Through seminars, cultural opportunities, special events and social activities, Honors students become part of a close-knit community.
From the faculty and from one another, Honors program students discover a new way of learning: a passion for inquiry, a creative engagement with ideas. Honors courses, often team-taught, range beyond traditional boundaries and investigate the intersections of diverse fields.
The program is highly selective, admitting a limited number of outstanding students each year. Successful applicants are awarded Hood’s top merit scholarship, renewable annually.
