Founded in 1957 by BIC missionaries, Macha Mission Hospital has transformed the quality of life for many in Zambia. Since Macha Mission Hospital's inception, malaria has decreased by 95 percent in the region — and diseases like measles, leprosy, and more have been eliminated. Combating AIDS, Macha Mission Hospital has enrolled more than 11,000 HIV-positive individuals in treatment, many of whom have returned to normal lives. In the last five years, all babies with mothers being treated for HIV have been born HIV-free. Macha Mission Hospital's life-changing work is only possible with the continued support of gracious donors.
