US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is the US Government branch of the Department of Homeland Security responsible for providing immigration services and benefits such as DACA, employment authorization, lawful permanent residency and U.S. citizenship. A USCIS community relations officer will offer suggestions about how to refer library patrons who may need immigration information or services to qualified immigration service providers. For a preview see: uscis.gov/citizenship/organizations/libraries. Libraries and other service providers are welcome to order a free USCIS Civics and Citizenship Toolkit if they think it is relevant at uscis.gov/citizenship/organizations/civics-and-citizenship-toolkit.
Presenter: Ted Albers, USCIS Northeast Regional Community Relations Officer
