In this teaching by Dr. Don G. Pickney, we look at the Isaiah 60 description of the events of The Day of Jehovah Tsaba (Isaiah 2:11-12) as they begin to unfold for the Church. It is described as darkness coming upon society on a global scale like a "hovering cloud." Simultaneously, God glory arises upon his people, the Church, the Body of Christ.
Verse three of Isaiah 60 tells us of a two-fold occurrence. The world will "come to our light" (of the gospel), creating a great global harvest, and the leaders of the world will see the brightness of our rising (distinguishing us as a people -- a very distinctive group throughout the world) because we will inherit "the rich sea trade and the wealth of nations and the "forces: riches, wealth, goods, substance, means, men and other resources" will come to us. (Isaiah 60:6). Verse 11 goes on to say, "Therefore our gates will be open continually, they will not be shut day nor night, that men may bring to us the 'forces: riches wealth, goods, substance, means, men and other resources' of the world."
Meanwhile society (Economic trade and banking, government, education, social orders) will get darker and darker as we see chaotic evil influences take hold, and will begin to disintegrate into a global upheaval.
The combination of our "rising" coupled with society's "fall" will produce what the Bible calls a "Vengeance to Comfort." (Isaiah 61:2) God's "vengeance" upon a godless society in order to bring a "comfort" to His people, the Body of Christ.
Much revelation is unfolded in this important teaching.
