A Talk by Frank H. Wu, introduced by Judge Denny Chin

Frank H. Wu began his service as Chancellor & Dean of University of California Hastings College of Law in July 2010. Chancellor Wu is the author of Yellow: Race in America Beyond Black and White. Prior to his academic career, he practiced law with the firm of Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco.

Denny Chin is a United States Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He was sworn in on April 26, 2010. From September 13, 1994, through April 23, 2010, Judge Chin served as a United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York. He presided over both civil and criminal cases, including cases involving Megan’s Law, the Google Books settlement, and the guilty plea and sentencing of financier Bernard L. Madoff. As of March 2011, he was the only federal appellate judge of Asian American descent on active status in the country.
