This is part two of our African REM Slideshow. The intent with these videos is to give an impression of our trip, to give the sense of what we saw, but without dwelling on any single image.
During this movie you will travel with us to Zanzibar, Stonetown, Kigoma, the MV Liemba ferry, Mahale National Park, the Selous Game Reserve, Ruaha National Park, Iringa, the Isimlia stone age site, and the Udzungwa Mountains National Park.
It is made up of 5,932 photos, each of which is shown for 1/10 of a second. They are straight out of the camera, without any adjustments.
About the Series:
My wife and I traveled for a month in Tanzania, spending time in pursuit of wildlife in the northern, western and southern sections of this beautiful country.
During the course of the trip, we took over 16,000 photos as we were overwhelmed by what we experienced.
The inevitable question when we return from trips like this is, "What did you see?" Showing that many photographs would pretty much kill anyone other than a photo editor, so we typically select a more reasonable number of the best of the bunch to share as individual photos.
The downside to this is that a lot of great images get left behind, and the "feel" of what we saw is lost. So we decided to make every one of those photos available as a movie in two parts. This is part two.
Thanks for watching!
