Cindy Laquidara is a passionate lawyer in the great city of Jacksonville, FL. During her 30+ years as a legal professional, Cindy has advanced experience with commercial and environmental litigation, government and utility contracting, and government affairs issues. Previously serving as the general counsel of the City of Jacksonville, Cindy has lead various trial counsels on high-profile and significant cases. In 2013, Cindy was recognized as Jacksonville Magazine’s top legal professional. Cindy Laquidara is currently a Partner with Akerman in the firm’s Litigation practice.
Obtaining her J.D. from Boston College Law School, Cindy Laquidara knew that she wanted a career in advocating for those who were wronged. From her humble beginnings, Cindy knew that she wanted to help those who may not have the ability or capacity to stand up for themselves. Through various pro bono cases, Cindy Laquidara has left her mark on those she supports and advocates for.
In addition to her professional career, Cindy has also developed a passion for many of life’s greatest aspects. An avid hiker, Cindy Laquidara loves getting outside and enjoying the beauty that nature has to offer. Along with her love for hiking, Cindy more recently fell head-over-heels for animals. Upon her son leaving the house, she adopted a mixed breed dog, Gabriel. While she only had a four-year relationship with Gabriel, Cindy did everything she could to make the dog an integral part of her life. These days, Cindy is a backup foster for a canine organizations and continues proving her dedication to helping both animals and humans in need.
