Sidney Spencer Marlborough has been playing basketball since she was four years old. Sidney grew up in Hoover, Alabama and excelled as a high school basketball player. She was recruited by legendary coach Pat Summitt and played collegiate ball at the University of Tennessee where she was an integral part of the 2007 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship Team. She was drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA and played professionally for a number of years with LA, the New York Liberty, the Phoenix Mercury, and Connecticut Sun. She played professionally in Europe for years and retired in 2015. She now lives in Kansas City, Missouri with her husband Bryan. They are owners of Complete Strength Gym and seek to engage athletes with training and skills development. She boldly shares her faith in Jesus Christ, as does Bryan, seeing sports engagement as ministry. They came to First Baptist Orange Park on July 30, 2017 and partnered with First Family Sports for girls basketball clinic. This is her story during the "Chat and Chew" time over lunch.
