Crazy Stairs, a film by Reed Daigle, won Best Film at the 2010 New Orleans 48 Hour Film Project.
The 48 Hour Film Project works like this: Each filmmaking team has 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film. All the teams have to incorporate 3 elements in their films.
The three elements for New Orleans were:
Character: Johnny or Joanne Miler, a CEO
Line of Dialogue: "He said he would be right back."
Prop: a folding chair
Then each team randomly picks a genre from a hat. We chose "horror".
Please note: This is not the original 48 Hour Film Project version. (The original 48HFP version will be available soon.) This version has a re-edited final scene.
Crazy Stairs won several other awards besides Best Film:
Best Sound Design
Best Original Music
Best Use of Genre
Honorable Mention -- Best Actress -- Jennifer Schemke
