Artist, Kara Hoblin finds inspiration in the emotional intricacies of the human psyche. She created "The Art of Letting Go," an interactive chalkboard based art show that encouraged all the participants and viewers to erase her work alongside her.
"Chalk came into my life when I needed to learn a very important life lesson, how to let go. It's always astonishing and amazing to me that if you allow yourself to be open to change... when one door closes another opens. Letting go as cliche as it sounds is one of the most important lessons we can learn.
She is a Freelance Artist and Photographer who lived in Brooklyn, NY until she quit her job in the city and moved to the North Fork of Long Island for love.
Deciding to stay for the love of her community, environment and self... she currently lives in Greenport NY. She specializes in custom chalk art and illustrations for restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores, weddings, and open to exploring anything else that comes to mind! Her first coloring book, "A North Fork coloring Book" is now available in select stores on the North Fork of Long Island!
Kara received her BFA in Photography from SUNY New Paltz.
Film concept directed by Joe Foster as a gift to a fellow artist and friend.
Cinematography approach inspired by Ms. Hoblin's story and process.
