In this 79,000 SF facility, those seeking professional help to resolve addictions will be able to experience recovery through an evidence-based residential treatment program. Both adults and adolescents who come to the facility voluntarily, either for inpatient or outpatient services, will participate in addiction education, individual and group counseling, and activities amidst amenities such as a yoga studio, massage therapy, movie room, fitness room, large gym, and a swimming pool. The project is located within the DFW metroplex with convenient access to the airport, making it able to serve the local population as well as those elsewhere in the country.
The building is a two story structure featuring common amenities on first level and the residential units and inpatient group rooms on the second level. There are 40 semi-private residential units divided into four pods, each serving a different population of either adult men, adult women, young adults or adolescents. Each pod features a unique design and color palette to compliment the population in which they serve. The exterior of the building is composed of a variety of materials including brick, stone, wood, and glazing, all of which help the building blend into the surrounding environment as well as provide a sufficient amount of natural daylight into each interior space. This project is addressing the ongoing need for behavioral facilities and is hopefully the first of many of its type in the DFW region.
