BTW, there is a strange compression glitch in the 1st shot which vimeo seems to be doing.

No grading, just a basic LogC to Rec.709 conversion using Nick Shaw's FCP plugin. I think you could easily shoot this in Rec.709, the color rendering is just plain awesome. Take a look at the highlights in the clip and see how they still hold color information despite being so hot. You can always revert back to LogC and do a serious grade and pull a lot more info out of the whole range. But if you expose correctly and aren't going for a very stylized look, Rec.709 is really awesome too & doesn't need much touching up.
It's going to be hard going back to REDs complicated workflow after this.
