'In July 1977 a group of people gathered above the Nova Scotia in Bristol and Cyclebag was formed to campaign for better provision for walkers and cyclists. Many people became involved, and made patterns on the ground to draw attention to the cause. Sustrans and the National Cycle Network were formed to carry on the work, and more recently Greenways and Cycleroutes.
Forty years to the day after that first meeting, in July 2017, the Brean Down Way was opened. This film marks that opening, and, as seems fitting, the day ended with people making patterns on the ground'
An aerial film to commemorate the opening of Brean Down Way. Part of the 33rd route of the National Cycle Network.
