"Focus on Education" is a monthly program focusing on education issues in Pennsylvania.
The program has most recently included interviews with leaders of the State YMCA of Pennsylvania, the PA School Boards Association, the PA Early Learning Investment Commission and Education Voters PA; a PHEAA student aid officer to discuss higher education financial aid opportunities for students and their families; leadership from several arts education organizations on the implications of state and federal budgets for the arts, humanities, culture, and libraries; PA Secretary of Education Pedro A. Rivera, the PA State Board of Education Chairman and Executive Director, and the leadership of several statewide education associations to discuss Governor Wolf's proposed 2017-2018 education budget. Additional shows have included interviews with PA Senate Education Committee Chair Lloyd K. Smucker and discussions on arts education in PA, teacher preparation, school curriculum and instruction, and many more topics.
