These birds are fun to watch as they scurry between clumps of the grass that gives them their name. Although they do have a crest just like the larger Crested Pidgeon, I reckon that they resemble quail more than pidgeons. And their habit of hiding, then suddenly flying out with a clutter of wings, then landing close by, is very quail like as well. Check out how great it's camouflage is against the rocks.
