A trailer for a short I made in college in 1999/2000. Based on the wonderful poem, "The Cremation of Sam McGee" by Robert Service.
Filmed above 10,000 feet near Loveland Pass, Colorado. So cold and the snowdrift so deep. But a great crew and lots of fun.
This went on to win some first place awards at festivals and official selection in about 10 festivals.
Filmed on Super 16, but then unfortunately compressed to mini-dv for this version.
My sister, Colleen McLaughlin, produced the movie.
So many horrible editing mistakes in this cut- but I'll leave it the way it is for the memories and it's charm.
