As a part of sister cities exchange between Chicago and Toronto, Chicago-based abstract artist Justus Roe created this waterfront mural by drawing inspiration from both cities’ connection to the Great Lakes.
The Roncesvalles Bridge, which connects West End communities to the waterfront, was transformed into a well-loved pedestrian and cycling path by Justus Roe, with support from emerging artists and local youth from neighbouring Parkdale.
This project has been made possible through the support of the City of Toronto StreetARToronto Program, the City of Toronto's Economic Development and Culture Division, and Dulux Paints.
