'Garden of Others' is a powerful dance short film with a strong viewpoint on how intimacy has changed in our relationships following the rise of dating apps. We created a world where we almost immediately show ourselves naked and have sex with anyone within close proximity, whereas our true character remains concealed. We are merely functioning bodies, often without real desire to connect with someone. The weight of commitment has become a burden and it's far easier to send nude pictures than to be brave and authentic.
In "Garden of Others" the dancers go on a journey of being explicit and exposed, they follow the herd and most never question the path. The piece urges the viewer to reclaim their ability to be intimate, open to connect and discover their self-worth.
Stop swiping, start dancing.
"Garden of Other" is mainly made to be presented at Dance Film Festivals worldwide.
It represents the area of Southern Germany and encourages people to invest time into self-reflection and character-building in contrast to their fast-paced environment.
