Although having made this dive several times, on this occasion our first attempt was thwarted as someone had moved the wreck. Seriously though it appeared we 'shotted' the wreck perfectly (marked its position with a line and anchor) but following our descent we found we were someway off and decided to abort the dive rather than waste costly helium in attempting to find it. We tried again two days later with another team of divers and had great conditions. This type of diving is often unproductive due to weather, underwater visibility and a number of other factors that can throw a spanner in the works. Which is why it makes it so much more enjoyable when it goes well.
