This is an interactive model that was designed and fabricated for my undergraduate thesis. A Geneva drive converts continuous rotary input into an intermittent rotary output. These were used in a modified form to limit the amount a clock could be wound up, and they are still used in film projectors to advance the film frame by frame.
The continuous wheel is brass and the intermittent wheel is aluminum. The components were waterjet and then finish machined.
