Mayor Jerry Weiers will have an insightful conversation with key persons involved in the city’s recent economic development successes on the new show “Glendale’s Best: Hosted by Mayor Jerry Weiers.” The dialogue will include local business leaders, members of the economic development team, and the Glendale Chamber of Commerce.
“I am looking forward to bringing our citizens “behind the curtains” to help them understand the municipal economic development process,” said Mayor Weiers. “I think it is important that they know what our team’s philosophy is and how it benefits Glendale. This includes how relationships are developed to retain and attract quality businesses to our community,” he added.
The City of Glendale’s Economic Development team follows four pillars: business attraction, business expansion and retention, redevelopment including downtown revitalization, and business assistance (Ombudsman). Each pillar will be discussed in greater detail and highlighted during the show. The group will also talk about workforce development and the importance of relationship building through all steps of the development process. The new show will build on the positive momentum that the City of Glendale is experiencing and viewers may even get a hint of future projects.
