After the death of their best friend, four estranged friends come together in their desolate hometown to mourn.
Director’s Note: (Lowam and Sylvia)
When we sat down to decide what story we wanted to tell, we tried to think of the most impactful shared memory between the two of us. We’ve been close friends for 14 years and the one thing we came up with was the death of our best friend from high school. After her death we drunkenly screamed at each other in anger and in sadness, not knowing how to “properly” deal with death. We remember getting together with friends and listening to voicemails and crying our eyes out after hearing her voice. We remember feeling lost but somehow closer.
The feelings during the writing process, the read-throughs, and on set were very real to us and we hope that our audience will feel connected in some way.
