16mm black + white film, embroidered stop motion animation, 03:15.
This animation uses the labour intensive process of embroidery to unfold a passage of time. It inserts the historically private act of embroidery into an accessible, public space where the process of embroidery becomes equally important as the material artifact it produces. Over time, the host fabric is left with the multiplicity of threads, holes and discoloration; traces of where the needle and thread had once past through the cloth.
