Percussions by Senegalese Mar Gueye and Masamba Diop were taken from the “Nu Persian Flamenco” from the CD SoSaLa/NU WORLD TRASH (sohrab.info/the-pitch/).
The music combines the best elements of the “conscious” jazz from the 60s & 70s, with a modern world percussion groove.
This social-political video is produced and performed by SoSaLa. The musicians are: SoSaLa (sax and voc), Baba Donn Eaton (sabar), Kaveh Haghtalab (drums), Monday Salnave (bass) and Caridad Rivera (keyboard) and Kamyar Arsani (daf).
