The Storefront for Community Design (SFCD) opened on February 14, in celebration of their tagline; For The Love Of Our City.
The organization is a resource for local businesses and homeowners who are seeking help with architectural and sustainability planning, tax incentives, and city codes.
The Storefront, operating on a volunteer basis, offers one hour free consultation, and all extra project hours after that are based on a sliding payment scale. Services are not meant to supplant the expertise of local businesses, but rather to complement the work.
The Storefront hopes to encourage quality community development and preserve the legacy of Richmond neighborhoods.
